Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how GutterSquad Michigan ("GutterSquad Michigan", "we", "us") handles information collected through guttersquadmi.com and through calls placed to the phone number published on this site.
GutterSquad Michigan is a referral service. We connect homeowners with independent gutter contractors. We are not a contracting company and we do not perform gutter work ourselves.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us by phone
This site has no contact forms. The only information you provide directly is what you tell us on a phone call, which typically includes your name, phone number, service address or city, and a description of the gutter work you need.
Call records
Calls placed to the number on this site are routed through a third-party call
tracking and telephony provider. That provider may record call metadata such as the
calling number, the time and duration of the call, and the page or campaign the
number was displayed on.
Calls may be recorded for quality and record-keeping purposes. Where a call is
recorded, you will be notified at the start of the call and may decline to continue.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider logs basic technical information when a page is requested — IP address, browser type and version, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps. This is used for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate traffic analysis.
Cookies and analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics and call-attribution tools that set cookies
or similar identifiers to understand which pages lead to calls. These are used in
aggregate and are not used to build advertising profiles about you.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. The site works
without them.
2. How we use information
- To connect you with gutter contractors in our network who cover your area.
- To respond to your enquiry and follow up about a referral.
- To understand which pages and cities generate calls, so content can be improved.
- To detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse of the phone number.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
With contractors. The central purpose of this service is to pass your enquiry to one or more independent gutter contractors so they can contact you and quote the work. When we do that, we share the details you gave us on the call — typically your name, phone number, address or city, and the description of the job.
Once your information reaches a contractor, that contractor is an independent business and handles your data under its own privacy practices. GutterSquad Michigan does not control what a contractor does with information after a referral, and their practices are not covered by this policy.
With service providers. We use third parties for website hosting, call tracking and routing, and analytics. They may process information on our behalf and are expected to protect it.
For legal reasons. We may disclose information where required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or where necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property.
We do not sell your personal information to unrelated third parties for their own independent marketing. Referral of your enquiry to a contractor so that contractor can quote your job is the service you are requesting when you call.
4. Communications
By calling and providing your phone number, you consent to being contacted by GutterSquad Michigan and by the contractors we refer you to, at that number, regarding your enquiry. This may include calls and text messages, which may be placed using automated technology.
Consent to receive these communications is not a condition of purchase, and you can opt out at any time by telling the caller to stop contacting you, or by replying STOP to a text message. Message and data rates may apply.
5. Data retention
Call records and referral details are kept only as long as needed for the purposes described above, for legitimate business record-keeping, and to meet legal obligations. Server logs are retained on a rolling short-term basis by our hosting provider.
6. Security
The site is served over HTTPS and we take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
This site is intended for adult homeowners and property owners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your choices and rights
- You can decline to provide information on a call, though we may then be unable to refer you.
- You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.
- You can ask what information we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it.
- You can control cookies through your browser and enable a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, which we honour where technically supported.
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain sharing. To exercise any of these, call 123-456-7890. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
9. Third-party links
This site may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any site we do not operate.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version takes effect when posted here, and the "last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will be reflected in that date.
11. Contact
Questions about this policy, or about information we hold, can be directed to GutterSquad Michigan by phone at 123-456-7890. Our contact page has more detail on how the referral process works.
